My interest and participation in the art process began very early in my life and I have actively pursued it since. For over 30 years, I have been involved as a professional, practicing and teaching artist, with a concentration in painting, drawing, and three-dimensional art. The proficiency that I have gained in my profession, the maturity and sensitivity that the accumulation of living experiences has brought; my interest in history, culture, contemporary art, science, writing, and ecology, has given me focus and discipline which transfers into my work.
I have a passion for art in its creation and manifestation. My aesthetic of art, my sense of wonder and beauty is articulated through my creative expression, investigation and experimentation. Coupled with a mastery of technical skills and knowledge of art fundamentals this blends the imaginative and formal issues and is the basis of my work as an artist.
I received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Bennington College in Vermont, I have taught and given presentations at the Detroit Art Institute, Colleges, Universities, Community Art Centers and Associations.
